Country Resort Jaga Rail Jam
Country Resort hosted its first Rail Jam competition on 31st January and it was a huge success with over 25 competitors doing tricks on two very tricky rails.
First prize of ¥30,000 was won by a local snowboarder and our very own concierge Max, walked away with a new snowboard for best trick of the night.
Thanks to Glen Claydon for the pictures.

Hi Stuart,
We arrived back safely, but very tired – 22hrs door to door.
My wife & I are both suffering Niseko withdrawal symptoms. Hot & humid here in Sydney. Every day I’ve been checking out the Cams & snow forums. Amount of snow you’ve had over there is amazing. My wife says that I’m torturing myself!!
Stuart, I’d have to say that our holiday over there was one of the best we’ve ever had. The accommodation was first class. Your staff were also first class and we’ve fond memories of all of them. Best decision I ever made was to choose ‘The Chalets at Country Resort’.
I’m happy for you to use these comments to promote the Resort, or if you can point me to area where I can post a comment.
I’m already looking at coming over again next year. Will depend on my Wife getting the time off.
Kind Regards
Steve & family.
PS. Say Hi to Genki, Ian, Marlin, Stacey & James and the rest of the crew.

More guest feedback and photos!
Dear All
Thank you very much for a fabulous stay at Country Resorts. We couldn’t have asked for more. You were all always so friendly, helpful and cheerful. The chalets were really comfortable and well appointed with every attention to detail taken care of . A special thanks to all of you who drove us up down from Seicomart and always had a shuttle for us despite our large group!
I think Mal(not sure of the name- sorry) wanted to put our snowmen in the newsletter. They are named after our ski instructors at NISS. As he was confused with the names, I have attached a few photos.
I won’t hesitate to recommend Country Resorts to friends, and we hope to be back someday.
Thanks again – Darren, Ian, Stuart, Mal(apologies for not getting your name) and the others. It was great meeting you all.
Best wishes
Seema, Sanjiv, Dhruv and Divyani
From Melina
Hi Stu
Thanks! We had a great time in Sapporo and Otaru as well….and most of all Niseko of course. My kids are still talking fondly about the beautiful snow and my son in particular declared The Chalets the best hotel of our stay in Japan (“very cozy”).
We hope to visit Niseko again soon……
Happy New Year!
Best regards
Melina
