Driving Instructions
MapCode is used with Japanese GPS navigation devices to easily set destinations, look for the MapCode symbol and follow the instructions on your GPD to enter the follow MapCode for The Chalets at Country Resort: 398 356 097*64.
from New Chitose Airport (aprox. 2.5 hours)
From the airport take Route 276 all the way to Lake Shitotsuko (about 30-40 minutes) and over the Bifue Pass (about 60-70 minutes) to arrive at Kutchan town. Once you reach Kutchan follow Route 5 south approximately 5km before turning right at the large blue sign for Hirafu Train Station. Follow this road for about 1.2km then take a tight left turn and cross the railway tracks. The Chalets at Country Resort is on the left about 1km past the railway crossing and our reception is in the large glass fronted building next to the gazebo near the entrance.

from Sapporo City (aprox. 2.5 hours)
From central Sapporo take Route 5 out of the city and along the coast through to Otaru (about 30-40 minutes) and onto Yoichi (about 40-50 minutes). From here turn inland and continue along Route 5 towards Kutchan. Once you reach Kutchan continue to follow Route 5 south approximately 5km before turning right at the large blue sign for Hirafu Train Station. Follow this road for about 1.2km then take a tight left turn and cross the railway tracks. The Chalets at Country Resort is on the left about 1km past the railway crossing and our reception is in the large glass fronted building next to the gazebo near the entrance.

from Otaru (aprox. 1.5 hours)
From Otaru take Route 5 east toward Yoichi (about 10-20 minutes), then turn inland and continue along Route 5 towards Kutchan. Once you reach Kutchan continue to follow Route 5 south approximately 5km before turning right at the large blue sign for Hirafu Train Station. Follow this road for about 1.2km then take a tight left turn and cross the railway tracks.
