Niseko
ABOUT NISEKO
Nestled amongst the stunning landscape of Hokkaido, Niseko has long been renowned domestically; both for it’s exceptional snow, and equally as an ‘onsen’ (hot spring) retreat. During the 1990’s Niseko began to receive international attention, initially for it’s champagne powder snow with international skiers, and more recently the sensational summer with endless outdoor activities, local gourmet produce and as a relaxing retreat from the hustle and bustle of daily life for those living the city life. As word gets out about this popular getaway destination, Niseko is quickly turning into a truly international resort with visitors from Japan and Asia, to further afield such as Europe and North America.
Winter
Niseko enjoys some of the world’s most sought-after snow with 15 meters of dry, light powder, falling over a total of 47 km of groomed terrain. Niseko further offers one of the single largest night skiing areas in the world, with fields open 12 hours a day accessed by a vast infrastructure of lifts and gondolas.
